There are two types of aerodromes listed in the register. Certified and Registered Aerodromes. The majority of those in the index are smaller regional centres and have been registered under CASR 139.265. Many are operated by the local council.

The list is in alphabetical order by name. It provides registration number, name, location, operator name, address and date registered for each.

Registered Aerodromes must meet the same physical standards as certified, however they may be accepted by an approved person. An aerodrome manual, safety management system and technical inspection are not required.

The website also houses information on how to register an aerodrome. This includes application forms and manual of standards.

The records are provided and maintained by CASA, also known as the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. This is a Federal Government department responsible for regulating Australian aviation safety.

Q Does this cover the major Australia Airports?
