Request a flight crew licence check from the Australian Transport Safety Bureau. Once a request is received, the ATSB will conduct a search of its aviation occurrence database for the licence holder. The ATSB receives over 8000 occurrence reports each year. A request will usually be actioned within 5 working days and emailed within seven.
These checks will only be accepted by the identified licence holder. A certified true copy of the licence must accompany the application.
The form contains full name, aviation reference number, email, address and reason for request. You can check accidents only or accidents and incidents.
The ATSB does discourage the use of a flight crew licence check for use in conducting a background check. This is due to a person being involved in an occurrence is not generally a reflection on an individuals airmanship.
