The Law Society of New South Wales co-regulates the legal profession in the state and licenses solicitors to practise. Through their website they provide an online search which enables you to find a lawyer in NSW. Three searches are available including find a solicitor, find a practice and find a mediator.
The Find a Solicitor search can be performed by first and last names, suburb, region and specialist field. Results provide the solicitors name, practice, suburb and contact details. Selecting a name will provide additional details including certificate type, date of admission, address, phone and class.
Find a Mediator can also be searched by last and other names. Find a practice allows you to search businesses. The card for businesses covers all additional details for the firm.
The Find a Lawyer NSW can also return results of interstate lawyers that have an office in New South Wales.
